Stefano is Project Director – MIND for Lendlease, an international property group focused on urban regeneration. In his tenure at MIND - Milan Innovation District, Stefano led the ecosystem launch, now accounting for 30+ top-tier companies co-sponsoring the Federated Innovation™ model and pioneering research on site. Furthermore, he shaped the physical site, including the design, commercialization and construction of a 500k sqm mixed-use development. He was key in securing the first Italian JV funding by Canadian Pension Fund CPPIB (development value of ca 1bn€). As of early 2022, MIND is fully open to the general public, with large companies operational on site (incl. leading healthcare players Astrazeneca and Illumina). Stefano has global expertise in the development of strategic infrastructure projects. In the past 10 years, he has been venue manager for the London 2012 Olympic Games and engineering director for the development of the HS2 high-speed railway (London-Manchester); finally, from 2016 to 2019, he worked for BCG (Boston Consulting Group, a management consultancy), leading on strategic plans and turnarounds for top-tier companies in multiple industries including transport and real estate. Stefano graduated in civil engineering from Politecnico di Torino and Politecnico di Milano (Italy); he is an alumnus of Alta Scuola Politecnica and the Birkbeck College (London), as well as secretary general (Italy) for Elisa Sednaoui Foundation, a non-profit company focused on education. In 2016 he volunteered for several months in the Syrian Refugee Crisis and in 2021, he was a speaker at COP 26 Bloomberg Green conference – few months after her first daughter (Tilde) was born.
