Heba Fathey was born in Sohag and has lived in Luxor for about 17 years. She is married and has two daughters. She finished her studies in 2002 from the Faculty of Education, South Valley University and got a master’s degree in public policies and evaluation of development projects in 2021 from the Faculty of Commerce, Assiut University. Because she is enthusiastic about working with children, women and youth, and she believes both in their rights and that they play a big role in society, she founded an association in Luxor called El-Masry Association for Development and Training in 2010, through which she worked in many development projects. She is also a member of the National Council for Women, and is currently working in microfinance, as the branch manager of the Ana El Masry Foundation.
